This is UNSUPPORTED. Please do not e-mail me. You might be able to get help from comp.mail.eudora.mac or comp.sys.mac.comm
Requires:
YA-Newswatcher (I believe 2.4.0 is the first version to support Applescript.)
Eudora (should work with most versions)
This script takes the frontmost YA-Newswatcher message and puts it in Eudora's IN box.
It is not all that fancy:
-the message summary shows up in Italics, as if you had sent the message.
-the message indicates that the poster is both sender and recipient
-newsgroups posted to shows up in the body rather than the headers
-the date indicates the date/time you ran the script rather than the correct date of the post
However, I find it to be a nice and quick way to archive posts you wish to save.*
And while it is probably easier to reply while you are reading the message in YA-NW, you can use Eudora's reply command to send a reply to the poster.
*some may prefer to click redirect or forward in YA-NW, then click the "Send a copy of this message to yourself" button, then click "send." (If you do "redirect" make sure you don't have an autoreply working on your incoming e-mail!)
But mainly I thought it might be neat to be able to store messages in the same set of mailboxes in which I store other incoming messages.
No warranties, guarantees, etc.
Thanks to Dan Crevier, who did this script first for Claris Emailer.
